ENTRY LEVEL TESTING FOR POLICE OFFICER POSITION

 

THE CITY OF ENNIS is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Police Officer (salary range $18.42/hr to $23.03/hr).

Qualifications include, but not limited to: Texas Certified Peace Officer; minimum age of 21; must possess a high school diploma or GED; clean driving record and Texas Class C drivers license in good standing; excellent verbal and written skills as well as basic computer skills required.

In addition to excellent pay (employees top out within 3 years from date of hire), The City of Ennis offers a generous benefits package including but not limited to: employer paid medical insurance, effective first day of month following date of hire; coverage for eligible dependents paid after employee pays the appropriate dependent premium for 18 months.  Employer matches retirement at 2:1. Twelve (12) paid vacation days per year; paid holiday and sick leave.  Educational assistance and credit union available.
