Ennis Police Department

S. W. A. T.

    The Ennis Police Department S.W.A.T. Team was formed in 1999 in response to the Ennis Police Department's participation in the City of Ennis SAAR Plan.  The SAAR Plan is a multi-dimensional plan of response for all types of incidents.

The S.W.A.T. team assists the Criminal Investigators in warrant execution and fugitive apprehension from time to time.

   The Ennis Police Department SWAT Team is commanded by Chief John Erisman and operates only under his direction.  

   AT Systems donated an Armored Truck for use which was renovated by the City of Ennis Equipment Services personnel.  This armored vehicle is used in execution of high risk operations.
